Postage

Another advantage of partnering with Metroplex Mail is the discounted postage rates. Because we work directly with USPS, we know exactly what guidelines to follow in order to capture the lowest postage rates available. No matter what type of mail campaign your company is pursuing, we offer several options to allow you to find the one that best suits your needs.

Standard/Bulk Rate- The most common type of bulk mail is called “Standard Class”. Most advertising mail, newsletters, and pamphlets are sent using Standard Class. There is no single postage rate that applies to all Standard class mail. Customers commonly pay several different postage rates depending on the destination of the piece, as well as its weight. In order to send a Standard class mailing, a minimum of 200 pieces is required. There is no guaranteed delivery date for standard class mail. However, it is the least expensive commercial postage class.  In order to receive a postage discount, the mailing must be NCOA updated and CASS certified.

First Class presort mail- First-Class Mail includes letters, postcards, large envelopes, and small packages, providing each piece weighs 13 ounces or less. First-Class Mail is processed by the USPS with the highest priority, ahead of the other classes of mail. If the destination is local, First-Class will typically be delivered within one to two business days. If a piece is undeliverable, it will be returned to you at no additional charge.

Non-Profit Rate- If your organization has an exempt determination letter from the IRS stating the nonprofit is a 501(c)(3) you can start saving postage. Our nonprofit specialist can help you navigate the cumbersome process, getting you registered with the USPS.
